17 Oct 08 : 7.14PM

KUALA LUMPUR, 17 Oct 2008: Police today extended bail on blogger Sheih Kickdefella, whose real name is Syed Azidi Syed Aziz, till 21 Nov to enable investigations on him to be completed.

Syed Azidi, 38, arrived at the Commercial Crimes Investigation Department (CCID) in Jalan Datuk Onn here at 10am accompanied by a friend, said he had been summoned to the department because the police bail given to him expired today and they wanted to extend it to the new date.

"It's because the investigation into my case has yet to be completed," he told reporters when met outside the CCID's premises.

He added that he was perplexed why the investigation was taking so long and hoped the police would charge him in court soon to give him a chance to clear his name.

He was originally detained by the police on 17 Sept for allegedly suggesting on his blog that Malaysians should fly the national flag upside down during the National Day celebrations to show their displeasure with the government. — Bernama
