PENANG, 15 Aug 2008: Gerakan acting president Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon regrets that the Pakatan Rakyat state government has not given him access to information to prepare for his much-anticipated debate with Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng on 20 Aug.
Despite the setback, the former Penang chief minister said he would proceed with the debate organised by the Agendadaily portal.
Koh said he had asked the state government to prepare eight documents connected to the debate issue as preparation for the television programme.
"I had asked for documents on the land issue raised by the state government, but Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng only allowed me to see minutes of the meetings of the former state government.
"The information is inadequate and meaningless. I need more information as reference. I asked for them last week but am only being allowed to see those two days before the debate," he told reporters at Gerakan headquarters here today. – Bernama
