KUALA PILAH, 29 Dec 2008: Tunku Mukhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir is the new ruler (Yang Dipertuan Besar) of Negeri Sembilan.
Tunku Mukhriz was proclaimed the 11th Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan by Undang Luak Sungai Ujong Datuk Klana Petra
Datuk Mubarak Dohak.
The ceremony, which was telecast live via Radio Television Malaysia (RTM), was held at the Throne Room, Istana Besar Seri Menanti, near here today.
The proclamation of the new Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan was made following the demise of Tuanku Ja’afar ibni Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman.
The appointment of the Yang Dipertuan Besar was made according to the ‘Adat Perpatih’ of Negeri Sembilan. — Bernama
