KOTA BARU, 10 Feb 2009: The Majlis Tindakan Rakyat Kelantan (MTRK) or Kelantan People’s Action Council today made a police report against DAP chairperson Karpal Singh for allegedly insulting the Perak Sultan.
The report was lodged by Pasir Mas MTRK chairperson Che Dollah Che Ismail, who is also state MTRK committee member, at the Kota Baru police station at 10am.
He was accompanied by over 40 MTRK members.
Che Dollah said with this, MTRK has lodged a total of four police reports against Karpal over different issues.
“Karpal Singh had shown disrespect to Sultan Azlan Shah with his remarks and with his move to sue the Sultan, he has insulted the royal institution,” Che Dollah told reporters.
“The Sultan is the protector of the Malays and we are not afraid of Karpal’s threats against those who lodged police reports against him.
“Karpal has caused uneasiness in the country and his action is unacceptable,” Che Dollah added. — Bernama
