KUALA LUMPUR, 19 Aug 2009: The claim that one must give his or her pledge and support to a certain individual, organisation or political party before he or she can go to heaven is wrong according to Islamic teachings, said chairperson of the National Fatwa (Edict) Muzakarah Committee Prof Datuk Abdul Shukor Husin.
He said this was because the decision of the National Fatwa Muzakarah Committee had stipulated that only Allah had the absolute power to determine whether one would go to heaven or hell based on his or her faith and devotion.
He said the Conference of Rulers had given its consent to the decision at the 188th Meeting of the Conference of Rulers in March 2001, adding that the National Fatwa Council had discussed the issue since 2000.
“The National Fatwa Muzakarah Committee is also of the opinion that whoever teaches or preaches such an ideology is wrong and deviating from the actual Islamic teachings,” he said in a statement here today.
He was commenting on the statement by PAS spiritual leader, Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat, two days ago that Muslims who separated “iman” (faith) from Islam would not go to heaven, adding that the two were inseparable, just like the body and soul, and that they must be together or one.
“As such, I wish to advise Muslims, especially those who have knowledge on Islam, to be wary and not create things which are incorrect or heretical that can confuse and divide the Muslims.
“Don’t be easily influenced by opinions that are bizarre, far from the truth and can deviate us,” he said.
Superhuman
Meanwhile, former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad today described Nik Aziz as a “superhuman” for being able to determine whether an individual would go to heaven or hell after death.
“He is a superhuman. An ordinary human being can only go to heaven or hell after death but cannot return to relate to us. We do not know whether Nik Aziz himself will go to heaven or hell. That is something we cannot say.
“I am amazed at Nik Aziz’s ability to determine who goes to heaven and hell. Everybody who knows him, better go and ask him,” he said. — Bernama

Yes that is true, Nik Aziz is totally WRONG! Who is he to say who can go to heaven or hell. Only ALLAH can. So you see, it’s not wrong to lie, steal, cheat, bribe etc. That does not mean you will go to hell. When you face Allah, then you only know … Nik Aziz is so, so wrong. I mean what does he know, right? Hahahahaahaaa …

Allah’s prerogative, eh?
I wonder why don’t they say such things when beer drinkers are whipped and apostates are “re-educated”.

I’m looking for anyone (regardless of any faith) who has been to heaven or hell before. Please do enlighten me about how these places are like. If possible, show me some proof (like a photo or a movie clip or something). Anyone?

The funny thing is Nik Aziz denied saying such things. The only source of that statement remains Bernama and only in the BM version. Harakah Daily reported that they are going to sue for that unfounded statement.
