PUTRAJAYA, 19 Oct 2009: The government is seeking public feedback and ideas on ways to improve national unity in Malaysia.
According to a statement from the office of the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon, the feedback from the public would assist in discussions which will be held in idea-generating sessions or labs.
The feedback sought by the Government Transformation Programme led by the Prime Minister’s Performance Management and Delivery Unit (Pemandu) can be submitted to the Pemandu website at transformation.gov.my, or via email at ideas@transformation.gov.my.
The public can also write in to Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Senator Datuk Seri Idris Jala at Blok Barat, Aras 3, Bangunan Perdana Putra, 62502 Putrajaya.
Through the labs, the government plans to come up with radical, practical and innovative solutions to achieve and promote national unity and social harmony in the country, the statement said.
It added that the effort to promote national unity, the cornerstone of nation building, was in line with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s commitment to 1Malaysia, People First, Performance Now, and the creation of “One dream, One people, One nation”.
In addition to national unity, Pemandu is also seeking public feedback on each of the six National Key Result Areas: reduce crime, fight corruption, widen access to affordable and quality education, raise living standard of the poor, improve infrastructure in rural areas and improve public transport. — Bernama

Charity begins at home.
Umno should cleanse itself of all the corrupt office bearers within the party first if it is really serious about reducing crime within the country. Corruption is truly the mother of all evils and Umno party officials are the most corrupt in this country. Vote-selling and -buying during party elections lead to wide spread corruption, cronyism and nepotism. This is the true legacy of the Mahathir era, and it is deeply rooted within the party.
The voters should be made aware of this evil that is within the ruling party, as shown by the disclosures at hearings into financial mismanagement of the former BN administration in Selangor. The same should be done for Penang and Kedah.
Let the people be aware.
Malaysia For All.
