KUALA LUMPUR, 31 March 2009: The decomposed body of a woman, believed to be murdered, was found inside a car boot at the parking lot of an apartment complex in Taman Serdang Perdana, Seri Kembangan, here, today.
Subang Jaya police chief, ACP Zainal Rashid Abu Bakar said the identity of the woman had yet to be ascertained.
“After being alerted by the public at 10.30am about a foul stench from the car, police checked the boot and found the decomposed body wrapped in a blanket and a curtain.
“The victim hands and legs were also bound with string and she is believed to have been murdered some time last week but no murder weapon was found in the car,” he told reporters at the scene.
Zainal Rashid said police also believed that the murder had taken place elsewhere before the body was stuffed inside the car boot and left at the car park.
The body was taken to the Serdang Hospital for an autopsy.
Zainal Rashid said initial investigations showed the car belonged to a man in Taman Connaught, here.
The owner, however, never lodged a report about car’s missing, he added. — Bernama
