PUTRAJAYA, 10 Feb 2009: The Election Commission (EC) will have a special meeting on 13 Feb to discuss the Bukit Gantang parliamentary seat in Perak and the Bukit Selambau state assembly seat in Kedah.
In a statement today, EC public relations officer, Sabri Said, said the special meeting would decide on the next course of action relating to the two areas.
Sabri said a news conference would be held by EC chairperson Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd at 11am on that day.
The seats fell vacant after the death of Bukit Gantang member of parliament (MP) Roslan Shaharom while Bukit Selambau assemblyperson V Arumugam quit his seat. — Bernama
