IPOH, 12 May 2009: Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin has handed over a letter seeking an audience with the sultan to request for dissolution of the state assembly.
The Edge reported that the letter was handed over to Raja Muda of Perak, Raja Nazrin Shah, at 8.30am today.
Pakatan Rakyat is expected to hold a press conference at 11am.
Nizar, whom the High Court in Kuala Lumpur declared the rightful menteri besar yesterday, arrived at the state secretariat building at 7.20am together with his wife.
Speaker V Sivakumar and several executive council members had arrived much earlier to start work.
As early as 6.45am, Federal Reserve Unit trucks and light strike force personnel had set up watch at the gates of the state secretariat building.

We’ve been here before, but let’s hope and pray that HRH Raja Nazrin will make the decision his father was unable to make.
This would bring him and his family back into the heart of Malaysians.
1BLACK Malaysia. Democracy first. Elections now.

Datuk Seri Nizar and his Exco are highly educated and civilised people. Why is there such a strong police presence outside the State Secretariat Building? It is a directive from the Big Boss? Please lah!

I think this time it’s gonna be true and good for PR. But I hope the DUN won’t be dissolved. Instead the three frogs Jamal, Othman and Hee are being made to resign “voluntarily” and PR leaders will agree to have just by-elections for these three DUN seats for which BN is guaranteed to lose. And maybe BN forces two or three more of its Aduns to resign just to let PR have bigger majority (fat chance though!). Give-face-to-BN way out which otherwise will lose 59-0. Probably.
I am a PR campaign activist. PAS punya orang. However, I know that going through a state-wide election, as much it creates the excitement it also distracts us from our normal daily and more profitable and productive lives. Gotta get leave from the employer and spend our already limited time for the election campaign. Sudah penatlah. Mau rehat sikit. Better do “PAS for All” work locally wherever I am.
The whole Perak episode is definitely not productive for anyone anymore. If the BN realises this fact, it better return everything back to the pre-February situation and let PR govern.
Also, like Najib’s noble intention – “save people’s money” la.

For heaven’s sake, I pray that my Perak Regent will grant my elected MB Nizar’s humble request to return the power of election to us to give the PR a huge mandate that no more frogs will ever jump parties and cause us all Perakians such humiliation and anger. I hope the Regent will at least listen to this humble subject of his to dissolve and call for a fresh election to overcome this mess once and for all.
Daulat Tuanku

As far as I am concerned and many Perakians will agree with me:
Nizar is our MB! No one else.

Sad state of affairs. Nothing more divine than to return the people’s power.
