KUALA LUMPUR, 7 Oct 2008: A commotion broke out outside the Sessions Court 1 at the Jalan Duta Court Complex when two men got into a fight while the hearing of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s case was in progress.
The incident occurred at about 11.25am, believed to be due to a misunderstanding which started when both of them — one wearing a media pass and the other believed to be Anwar’s supporter — were in the court room.
The man with the media pass was said to have been irritated by a remark made by the other man.
Both then exited the court room and soon after they were in a brawl, but policemen managed to break up the fight and took the two men to a room where they were then seen shaking hands.
Sentul district deputy police chief Supt Zainuddin Ahmad said police considered the case settled and no police report was lodged on the incident. — Bernama
