ALOR STAR, 2 July 2009: Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azizan Abdul Razak said today he had yet to be informed officially of any decision by Kedah DAP to withdraw from the PAS-led Pakatan Rakyat (PR) state government over dissatisfaction with the state administration.
He said the DAP was still in the PR state government as long as there was no verification from the central leadership on the matter.
“I do not know because there has been no letter, but if they (DAP) want to withdraw, what can I say?
“What are they referring to as poor treatment? Because, as far as I know, the state government has treated everyone well,” he told reporters after the signing of an agreement on the redevelopment of Plaza Tunku Yaakob here.
Kedah DAP chairperson Thomas Su announced yesterday that Kedah DAP had no qualms withdrawing from the state PR government due to dissatisfaction over several issues, including the demolition of the illegal abattoir for pigs in Kampung Berjaya here. — Bernama
