Matriculation application results on 17 April

April 13, 2009

KUALA LUMPUR, 13 April 2009: Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) holders can check the status of their applications for the matriculation programme online on 17 April.

The Education Ministry, in a statement today, said this can be done by surfing the ministry’s website at http://www.moe.gov.my by entering their identity card number and examination serial number.

It said they can also retrieve the information by sending a short messaging service (SMS) by typing MAT space identity card number to 15888 or by calling the Matriculation Division at 03-8884 4100 between 8.30am and 4pm on working days.

The registration date of the matriculation is 11 May and offer letters and information on the registration fees will be sent to successful applicants by the colleges concerned, it added.

Candidates who failed to gain admission can appeal online or by writing to the Matriculation Division, Level 6, Block E15, Parcel E, the Federal Government Administrative Complex, 62604 Putrajaya by 30 April. They must attach their certified SPM results.

The results of the appeal will be posted online on 22 May. It can also be retrieved via SMS and by calling the Matriculation Division.

The matriculation application result for the second batch will be known on 3 June while registration at the colleges will be 12 days after that. — Bernama
