KUALA LUMPUR, 2 Feb 2009: Fifteen deaths recorded from 831 road accidents nationwide yesterday, bringing the death toll to 201 since the launch of the 19th Ops Sikap on 19 Jan.
Bukit Aman public relations officer Supt Rasdi Ramli said of the number of deaths, 10 involved motorcyclists.
Municipal roads recorded the highest number of accidents with 327 cases followed by federal roads (229), state roads (138), highways (90) and other roads (47), he said in a statement today.
Rasdi said 9,372 summonses were issued for various offences yesterday. — Bernama
