Pak Lah to sit next to Ku Li, Rafidah

[get_post_meta single=1 key="byline"] | April 27, 2009 Leave a Comment

KUALA LUMPUR, 27 April 2009: Former Prime Minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will sit near Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah and Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz in the Dewan Rakyat, said Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia today.

Changes in the seating arrangement would also involve members of Parliament (MPs) who were recently appointed ministers and deputy ministers, he told reporters after receiving a courtesy call from South Korean and Australian lawmakers at his office in Parliament House today.

Abdullah is MP for Kepala Batas while Razaleigh Gua Musang and Rafidah Kuala Kangsar.

Asked on the suit by Puchong MP Gobind Singh Deo against him, Pandikar Amin said he was leaving it to the court to decide. His job was only to chair Dewan Rakyat meetings and to ensure it runs smoothly, he said.

Gobind filed the suit against the speaker at the Kuala Lumpur High Court on 23 April over his 12-month suspension from 16 March. — Bernama
