IT’s a three-corner fight for the Permatang Pauh parliamentary seat in Penang.
Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is setting out to win back the constituency and return to Parliament, will face the Barisan Nasional (BN)’s Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah and Angkatan Keadilan Insan Malaysia (Akim) president Hanafi Hamat.
The BN has acknowledged that it is the underdog in this by-election. However, its candidate, Arif Shah, is no stranger to the constituency. He is also the state assemblyman for Seberang Jaya, which is part of the Permatang Pauh parliamentary constituency.
