PETALING Jaya ratepayers should take note that the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has received an application from the Selangor Economic Development Corporation (PKNS) to redevelop its property in Section 52.
The proposed site redevelopment will involve demolishing the existing building to construct:
• one office block of 27 storeys;
• three office/institution blocks between 22 and 37 storeys;
• two hotel blocks of 22 storeys; and
• two serviced apartment blocks of 22 storeys,
• on top of a six storey podium for a commercial/car park,
• with a four-and-a-half storey basement car park.
Ratepayers who have any objections to the proposed redevelopment should write to the MBPJ stating the reasons for their objection. Ratepayers who do not have any objection to the proposed project but would like to attend the objection hearing to find out more about the proposed project should also file their objection notice. The final date for objection submission is 25 May 2010.
Damansara Kim SS20 residents should also take note that there is a proposal to build a car park on a plot of vacant land located on Jalan SS20/1, next to Wisma DiJaya. The last date to submit objections is 19 May.
I apologise for the late notification. The matter was only brought to my attention on the night of 14 May by concerned residents in the area. Councillors are not automatically informed of development proposals by local council officers.
All objections should be addressed to:
