KUALA LUMPUR, 8 May 2009: A number of roads in the capital will be closed in stages for the Wesak Day float procession from 7pm tomorrow.
The procession will start from the Buddhist Maha Vihara in Jalan Berhala and will pass through Jalan Sultan Abdul Samad, Jalan Tun Sambathan 4, Jalan Tun Sambathan, Jalan Petaling, Jalan Yap Ah Loy, Jalan Hang Lekiu, Jalan Gereja, Jalan Raja Chulan, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Bukit Bintang, Jalan Pudu and Jalan Cheng Lock before making its way back to the Maha Vihara.
The roads will be reopened to traffic once the devotees have passed the stretches, said Kuala Lumpur Traffic Police in a statement today. — Bernama
