SANDAKAN, 10 April 2009: Sabahans have asked for some special treatment in terms of developmental allocations as their state is somewhat behind compared with other states.
Kinabatangan Member of Parliament Datuk Bung Moktar Radin said this was based on the results of the last general election that saw both Sabah and Sarawak as bastions of the Barisan Nasional (BN).
“The hopes of the people of Sabah is that equal development is carried out in terms of provision of village roads, clean water supply and electricity,” Bung Moktar said.
He was speaking at a thanksgiving function in conjunction with his win as an Umno supreme council member in the recently concluded party elections.
He said he was worried that if the request was not met, Sabahans would not support the BN in future and this would hamper party leaders’ aspirations.
On Umno, he said in order to strengthen the party, there must be change in terms of administration, the party’s constitution and the party’s ability to handle issues related to the people’s problems. — Bernama

Siasat siasat. Cakapo- cakapo buang air liur saja bah.
