SHAH ALAM, 25 March 2009: The Selangor executive council meeting today decided to extend Elizabeth Wong’s leave until 15 April, to facilitate the ongoing investigation on the release of intimate images of her on the internet.
Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, however, did not rule out the possibility that this extension of leave would be the last before the final decision was made on Wong’s position as the state executive councillor in charge of tourism, consumer affairs and environment, as well as Bukit Lanjan state assemblyperson.
Wong, 37, offered to resign from both positions on 17 Feb after the images emerged online. She had taken a long leave of absence which ended on 15 March. — Bernama
