KUALA LUMPUR, 16 April 2009: Three Wanita Umno division heads were today appointed to the movement’s central posts for the 2008-2011 term.
Hulu Selangor (Selangor) Wanita Umno Division head Rosni Sohar, 51, was appointed assistant secretary, Sembrong (Johor) Wanita Umno Division head Noraslina Zainal Abidin, 37, as assistant treasurer and Gopeng (Perak) Wanita Umno Division head Hamidah Osman, 48, as information chief.
Their appointments were announced in a statement today by Wanita Umno chief Senator Datuk Seri Shahrizat Jalil.
Shahrizat expressed confidence that the trio would be able to give their fullest cooperation to the women leaders at all levels in championing the vision and mission of Wanita Umno and Umno as desired by Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Razak. — Bernama
