Youths need avenue to express on Perak

February 20, 2009

KUALA LUMPUR, 20 Feb 2009: Youths who want to express their anger and frustration on the political crisis in Perak should be given room to do so but under watchful eyes so not to disturb the peace, said Barisan Nasional (BN) Youth chairperson Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.

Hishammuddin, who is also Umno Youth chief and Education Minister, said if they did not have an outlet to voice out their frustrations, it could lead to undesirable outcomes.

“At least we are not in the streets throwing stones and such,” he told reporters after attending a BN Youth gathering in support of royalty, held at Dewan Tun Abdul Razak, Putra World World Trade Centre last night.

He said this when commenting on the noise generated by some 3,000 youths from throughout the country who were gathered in the hall.

Many of them were very emotional that there were people showing disrespect to the monarchy of late and pledged their undivided loyalty to the Malay Rulers.

Also present were newly-appointed Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir, and Umno Youth chief aspirants Khairy Jamaluddin, Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir and Datuk Seri Mohd Khir Toyo. — Bernama

“If they did not have an outlet to voice out their frustrations, it could lead to undesirable outcomes”.

Hishammudin’s “cry” is an example of political emotional blackmail. He should have the ability to choose how to react when thing happens. The mature choice is to refrain from any belittlement. Descending to belittlement or any like action will create a negative atmosphere.
to its own self and others.

Malaysians must not permit a race-based “leader” to take advantage of them and gain their support by political temper tantrums, crying or any other form of emotional blackmail.

The maturity of the part is the maturity of the whole; for the whole is the part, and the part is in the whole.

The 3,000 youths gathering doesn’t reflect the youth all over the country.

Otherwise how could they have lost so much in GE12?
